DIY Project: Gold and Glitter Bottle Vase

Because we entertain so much, our recyclable bin is constantly full! We thought of this easy and cheap DIY project to spruce up your next dinner table using some of the many bottles we go through. Check out these rustic gold and glitter vases we created some spray paint, burlap and ribbon. It’s  that easy!

Start by going through some of the bottles in the trash and pick out a variety of sizes. Give them a good scrub and try to get the labels off as good as possible. (No worries if you don’t! Spray paint will fix it later!) We chose a flat gold color of Caramel Latte and a textured gold glitter spray paint. Also, pick up a spool of burlap from your local craft store, then you’re all set!

Spray paint each of the bottles, covering all surfaces with a heavy coat. For the bottles with a tricky label, spray the glitter over the flat color to give off a textured look. Pick two of the same size bottles and wrap the burlap around, covering the neck too.

I was not too concerned on making the burlap look perfect, so no need to fuss over it! Once bottle is covered, tie a ribbon around the neck to support the fabric. Once all dried, they are ready for flowers and your centerpiece! Place all together or spread out along the table. Fill each bottle with fresh flowers or branches for a rustic look. A great transition centerpiece as summer is coming to a close!
